Feta Stuffed Turkey Burgers


Serves: 4


Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces lean ground turkey
  • ¼ cup reduced fat feta cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 4 whole grain buns
  • Garnishes


Equipment:

  • Mixing bowl
  • Grill or griddle


Directions:

Add turkey, feta, oregano, and pepper to a large bowl. Stir to combine.

Form into patties about 1-inch thick. Don't over-handle the meat, but use a good amount of pressure to form the patties. This will ensure that the burgers don't fall apart.

Preheat grill or griddle to high.

Grill patties on one side for 5 minutes. For attractive grill marks, rotate the burgers 90 degrees after a few minutes.

Flip burgers once, and cook. Your burgers will be done when the internal temperature has reached 165 degrees F.

Serve with whole-grain hamburger buns and your favorite garnishes.
